Chelsea have made a mega offer to AC Milan for star striker Andrei Shevchenko.
It's emerged that during negotiations this week over the future of Hernan Crespo, Chelsea representatives informed Milan that owner Roman Abramovich was willing to pay ã50 million for Shevchenko. Argie Crespo, desperate to stay in Milan, would also be included in the deal.
The personal terms for Shevchenko are even more staggering - a five-year contract worth ã7 million-a-year.
Milan chiefs gave the proposal short shrift. But it's understood vice-president Adriano Galliani and patron Silvio Berlusconi have not altogether dismissed the offer.
While Shevchenko has been adopted by Milan as a favourite son, at 29 this could be the last time Berlusconi and Galliani have the opportunity to broker such a massive deal for the striker.

Dit keer vond de juichende salmonellakolonie zich een weg naar boven. Met tranende ogen zag ik mijn kots langzaam van de wc-deur naar beneden druipen
