Shooting
Shooting is a bit of a mystery. Itââ¬â¢s one of two options you can choose that trains two skills for players. While you choose to train shooting, your players will be trained in scoring and in set pieces.
It sounds too good to be true, right? Many would argue that it is.
Your players will have their scoring skill advanced at 50% the normal rate. This means that it will take your players 13-14 weeks at young ages with a decent coach to advance in skill. Thatââ¬â¢s roughly once per season. Set pieces are trained a very reduced rate. At 50% training a player would advance every 4-5 weeks. Real world testing has showed players advancing about every 10 weeks.
The bottom line: Shooting trains scoring at 50% the normal rate, and set pieces at about 25% the normal rate.
Itââ¬â¢s not as bad as it sounds though!

Advantages
All outfielders trained
Trains two skills
Disadvantages
50% scoring / 25% set pieces
Doesn't train full roster
Shooting training is an option thatââ¬â¢s great for scoring trainers during the off season. While you canââ¬â¢t field all of your forward trainees in a single game, you can play all 6 trainees in 8 of your outfielder slots. Theyââ¬â¢ll not only get half a week of training, theyââ¬â¢ll also get a small boost in their set pieces skill. Keep in mind 50% training across 6 players is worth as much as 100% training across 3 players.
