Quote:The star ratings are very far from perfect and can never be perfect as a means of comparing players in different positions. This includes comparing the number of stars for a FTW with the number of stars for a normal forward.
A solid scorer with solid wing is an uniquely and finely balanced player for the FTW position. Of course he gets a relatively high rating compared to his old performances as a normal Fw where only his scoring (and some passing, but that is less important) contributed.
A divine scorer with solid wing, on the other hand, is a very unbalanced player not very well suited for FTW. He is unlikely to gain much, if anything, in ratings compared to his ratings as a normal forward.
Yet, the star ratings system must deal with both these types of players. For balanced players (say solid-solid or even solid-inadequate, and of course the unlikely freak of nature utopian-utopian) the rating swill give high values, For unbalanced players not.
This is inevitable as we introduce ratings for a position on the field that has never existed before in HT history.
So, all is OK, no problem.
