Hattrick Returns
We now believe we will be able to bring the site back somewhat earlier than previously anticipated, in the early morning of Saturday, HT-time. We hope this will give most users a decent chance to set their orders for the weekend games. The situation for Hattrick at this moment is that we, after several days or trying to repair the database damage that occurred on Tuesday, have decided to instead return to our last complete backup before the storage system problems started on Tuesday morning. This backup was made a day earlier, right after the completion of last weekends games. The restore of our backup has already taken place; it was successful and ahead of schedule. We are spending the rest of Friday simulating the events over the past week, bringing Hattrick up to date again. This may have various consequences for your teams. Transfers, friendly bookings, staff hires and other manager-triggered events that happened after the backup date will never have happened. But all events that was already scheduled, such as friendlies and cup games, and training, will have been simulated. Transfer deadlines will not be extended in the way we normally do it, instead the transfer list has been cleared and you will have to re-list players that you want to put on sale. Restoring to a backup is something we avoid to do, and in fact it has only happened once before. Repairing a damaged database is something we have often done, and we would really have preferred to do that this time as well, as we would not have to roll back time in that case. But, in the end, the reasons we take backups are that we sometime might have to use them, and unfortunately this is the case today. The technical problems that caused the damage to the database in the first place have been partially fixed, in that we are now back on a safe configuration. We dont expect any more troubles along these lines, although we might very well need additional planned downtime next week to complete the disk upgrades we are in the middle of. It cant be said often enough, we are desperately sorry for the downtime this week, and for any problems it may have caused you. Please accept our apologies for the downtime, and know that you are very welcome back on the site when we open again
we hebben dus gewoon training gehad
