ISAKSSON TO TRAIN AT CARRINGTON
Stuart Pearce has confirmed new goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson will train with Manchester City for the first time today.

The 24-year-old turned down the opportunity to play for Sweden against World Cup semi-finalists Germany on Wednesday, and will instead report to Cityââ¬â¢s Carrington training ground to begin his quest for a place in Pearceââ¬â¢s starting line-up for Sunday's Barclays Premiership opener at Chelsea.
Isaksson, who is set to join City on a three-year deal from French outfit Rennes, arrives at the club as a replacement for David James and boasts an impressive pedigree, having emerged as Swedenââ¬â¢s first-choice stopper.
And Pearce has revealed the Blues have been keeping tabs on him for the past three years, since former goalkeeping coach Peter Bonetti was at the club.
ââ¬ÅAndreas will train with us today and we will see how he goes,ââ¬Â Pearce told the Manchester Evening News.
ââ¬ÅHe is an international goalkeeper who is only 24 years old and has played 40-odd times for his country. That is not a bad CV.
ââ¬ÅWe have had scouting reports going back three or four years on him. Peter Bonetti, when he was goalkeeping coach here, had a look at him a couple of times.ââ¬Â
Providing Isaksson settles in as expected, he is likely to oust Nicky Weaver from the Blues first-team following the former England Under-21 internationalââ¬â¢s appearance against Porto at the City of Manchester Stadium last Saturday.
