Nalbi Blog! Niet echt spraakmakend. Hij had er verdomme gister al uit moeten liggen. #-o
Well, here I am at 1.30 in the morning dictating my first blog. Iââ¬â¢m in the car on the way back to the hotel after winning my first match against Julien Benneteau. I was down 2-5 in the third set but won it 7-5 in the third. It was a very important win as I try to qualify for Tennis Masters Cup.

It will still be a while before I get to sleep, so I may have to take a short nap in the car when I finish the blog! When I get back Iââ¬â¢ll get something to eat and have a massage. Itââ¬â¢s good that I can sleep late in the morning. I just have doubles to play.
Because I knew I was playing late today I woke up lateââ¬Â¦ too late to have breakfast! I stayed in the room and spent a bit of time on the computer, checking some email. I will stay in touch with friends with email but I always speak to my mother on the phone. My mother doesnââ¬â¢t check email. I normally speak with her every two or three days and I will call her later. Last Sunday was motherââ¬â¢s days in Argentina so I called her for that (but I didnââ¬â¢t send any flowers; she has to wait till I come home!). But she had a lot of other family members come to visit her.
It was raining so heavily today and the traffic was terrible, so I decided to have lunch in the hotel around 1.30. Went back to the room around 3 or 3.30 to fix my things, my bag and match clothing. I got a car earlier than I normally would at 4.15 because the driver told me it was taking two hours to get to the site and that I should come early. In the end we got there in about 50-55 minutes.
When I got there first player I met was Calleri, who was just leaving the site. I told him that I tried to reach him last night but he didnââ¬â¢t answer. I wanted to take some movies from his room but he didn't call me back. He said he didnââ¬â¢t remember my number! Heââ¬â¢s got a terrible memory!
So next time I may have to use a service provided by the tournament. They allow the players to take DVDs home overnight and we can bring them back the next day. Itââ¬â¢s too late tonight to watch one! But maybe Iââ¬â¢ll get one tomorrow to watch in the car on the long drive.
I will talk to you again tomorrow after my doubles.
Thanks for reading,
David
